Hello. I have just a question - I realise prices vary BUT in the town where I am (in the UK, south Oxfordshire) the H Samuel is selling a .25 carat 18ct gold (yellow) I/J/K Sl1/2 ring for £500. Another shop has .15-.20 carat 18ct gold (yellow) G/H Vsi1 ring for £500. And another shop (who seem nicer and more professional to be honest have .15 carat 18ct gold (yellow) E/F ring for £375. All brilliant round cut. Does the size matter more than the weight of it? Essentially I'm strongly set on the £375 one but just wondering if its *too* good (get my drift) though it is certified and appears fine. Or are the other shops basically slighter higher priced and then more again for the larger rocks?

If worried if getting ripped off by some of the shops, easiest thing is to check bluenile.co.uk to compare prices of the each diamond (Assume gold setting price the same in all).

will give you an indication anyway.

I picked out my ring, 2 weeks ago, i originally found the ring in my local home town jewellers. It is 0.62 total carat weight, i absolutely loved it, but we had arranged to go down to cork to have a look in the jewellers down there. Would you believe I found the exact same ring, same weight, colour everything in a jewellers in Cork. It was nearly 800 euro cheaper!!!!!!:eek: in a jewellers in Cork, and they promise that it will be ready in 3 weeks, while my local home town jewellers told me it will take at least 6 weeks to get it made.

So as they always say, u should shop around because u will be gobsmacked with the differences between all the different jewellers.
