US Non Claim Bonus - Any use in Ireland?

My years of non-claim bonus (Official letter written by previous US insurer) seem to have no effect on quotations in Ireland and I am treated as a newbie.
A company told me because of the financial regulator they can't accept my non claim bonus letter if not issued by an Irish company.

Is it intox or what? Any US friendly insurance here in Ireland?

    Cheers

This is bull****. I know NCBs from other EU countries are genenerally accepted. There is red tape though where NCBs issued in a language other than English need to be officially translated (certified)

I don't know if US NCBs can be used here though, sorry.

Most insurers accept either UK or EU no claims discounts, not too sure on US.

When I got my first car here in Ireland, they refused to accept my non EU 12 years NCB as well.

Nothing much I could do about it but start over
