    How do people find this.
My folks are going away in a week or two and havent been in a airport since pre-2001 at least.
    Is there any bother.
I no you can print your boarding pass on-line and get your seats etc etc
Does this mean you can go straight to the gates ?

You check your bags at a baggage only counter in most airports and then go straight to the gates, just look out for gate changes on the monitors.

    Depends 100% on the airline . . .

Then yes, you can check-in online, select your seat (if you didn't do it when you purchased), print your boarding pass etc.

Then you can a) go to the airport and just drop your luggage off [if you have some]
or b) go straight to the departure gate [if you just have hand luggage]

Online check in is way too much hassle... especially with Aer Lingus. Just use the automatic machines in the airport. Much faster than logging in, printing bla bla bla.

Just shove your passport into the machine. Type destination and hey presto!!!
