Debt collecting

Just wondering if anyone is aware of debt collection companies in Waterford (official now, not just fists!) I have a few people that owe my company money...these are either loans or invoices that are well gone beyond the credit terms.

Due to the backlog in the courts, solicitors letters have been ignored. I'm all out of ideas

    Thanks

chances are that if they ignore solicitors letters, they are not going to pay till you get to court.... so a debt collection firm might not be a good idea... as legally they can't do anything...

but here's a couple of websites for all ireland coverage, not aware of any specifically in waterford region..

also be prepared for it to take a while as well.....

old company used this crowd, ok results....

I've heard of this collector alright, hard to know how tough you should be when collecting...thing is, if no one paid for anything, we'd have chaos...why should a few be allowed to avoid paying for something????

o golly, it's a pity this outfit weren't around a few years ago when a local scumbag ripped my business at the time out of enough money to almost bankrupt us and cost us our family home.
Interesting thing was, he stayed living here for some time and used to just send the collection letters from ourselves, solicitors and various agencies back unopened. We never did get the money, though he'd have been better off paying us. I made a mission out of tracking him down everywhere he went and contacting is employers and when he started a business I contacted his suppliers and customers. Eventually ruined his chances of ever being trusted professionally in this part of the world.

Not a huge amount, a few grand. Worst part is that I dont feel they'll ever feel shame.

This was my next thought, just to ruin them. Problem there is, you can spend more time caring about ruining their business than managing your own! Besides, their businesses dont need much help in this area...

Maybe those fists should not be excluded after all :D

What about a debt purchaser instead? At least that way you'll get some money back

I would say not to go down that road because this could turn out very bad for you in the long run fire with fire and all that the courts are they way to go and its safe for all involved
