    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adventureland_(film)

This is from the director of Superbad and AFAIK it was marketed in US as a gross out teen comedy but nothing could be further from the truth.

It's actually a bittersweet, realistic portrayal of young persons and their relationships set in a 1980s amusment park staffed by young college grads.

My face film of the year so far.

I heard this is great but the marketing has been completely awful, probably a good reason for why it died on its arse in the U.S. That trailer which features tons of bleeped out swearwords was the most immature nonsense i've seen in quite a while. Could be good but I've zero interest as it's presented to me completely wrong

I really didn't love this as much as I wanted to... I was looking forward to it but I ended up just "liking" it. Not worth a re-watch and a passable enough rental. It should have been so much better but it felt essentially like 'Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist' but with better music.

Strong cast (Jesse Eisenberg, Bill Hader, Martin Starr & Ryan Reynolds were all great) but a quite poor cliche ridden script let it down.

Not hugely enjoyable.. not funny enough to be a comedy and not believable enough to be a solid "rom-com".

    I'd give it a 2 / 5.

    terrible.

I can't even give it a single full digit out of 5 and a 0.5 is generous.

I thought it was excellent... Mainly because Kristen Stewart is deadly in all forms :D

Is this released already? Not in my local cinema, and I read somewhere that it's not out til Sept? Also a huge fan of Kristen Stewart (not in the same way as FreeOSCAR I'd imagine ) but thought she was awesome in her pre-Twilight films (Speak, The Cake Eaters, Into the Wild, The Yellow Handkerchief, Fierce People, etc.)

Thought it was good but not great. The 80's setting made it better than it might have been though. Though I thought he was excellent in this and The Squid and The Whale, I can't help getting the feeling that Jesse Eisenberg is another Michael Cera/Seth Rogan type actor; funny and interesting the first few times you see them until you realise they are literally just playing themselves in every film.
