Take the Luas to Abbey St, walk across the road onto the Eason side, up to the McDonalds opp the Savoy and then take either the 4/4A/13/13A/19A into college. Frpm Heuston it's about 25 minutes away, less on a good day.

The 11 and 11a also go to DCU of course

Might be worth just getting a cab. Dont want the hassle of jumping on and off buses heading into a repeat exam.

From my experience you'd want to be allowing a lot more than that. You'll be waiting for the Luas and the bus more than likely, I've done it a few times and it's taken around 40 minutes at best.

I think he meant 25 mins from Heuston to O' Connell St. Otherwise that's hilariously optimistic.

    Are you for real?

A DCU student doesnt know how to get from the city centre to the college, and you dont want the 'hassle' of using busses the day of an exam.

Do you live in a balloon?

Many DCU students study through Oscail, so they would not be familiar with the Campus, or even with Dublin.

If you're going by bus or tram to O'Connell Street, when buying your train ticket you should ask the "City Centre add-on."

You can then use your Irish Rail ticket to board the Luas or the 90/91 buses outside the Heuston to O'Connell Street -- it's cheaper, it's one less ticket to buy, and you have a choice of bus or Luas depending on which is there.

Take the 90 or 91 bus if one of them are there, they beat the Luas time wise and you're more likly to get a seat.

Given the Luas from Heuston to Abbey Street can take between 10-15mins, it's a few mins walk to the bus stop at the top of O'Connell St, and even Dublin Bus puts the journey from O'Connell St to DCU at more than 25mins alone, that really is hilariously optimistic!

You're looking at around 45mins or more from Heuston to DCU going by tram-walk-bus or bus-walk-bus.

Every one of them drops you at the bus stop across the road from the Ballymun road gate. From there it's a 2 minute walk to the nearest building.

Check out this map. The bendy bus is stopped at the DCU bus stop on Ballymun road. Cross the road and follow the gray line (underneath the road marked Albert College Lawn) all the way to DCU.
