Saw a similar thread in the motoring forum.

What did you pay for your first time you took out screeds and what are you paying now?

My first bike policy was £90 for 50cc riders policy, it then averaged out to £300 for the 500cc policy for about ten years and has not budged much since then.. Now paying just €320 to cover a Gizr 750 on a classic policy. :D.

€870 fire and theft on a provisional (or permit?) on a shop-restricted Er-5.

With Quinn so doubts abounds as to whether they'll ever pay out.

I like to think they would though. They're nice enough on the phone leastways...

£763 in 1991 on a RD125LC TPO, I was 17 and Norwich Union was raping every motorcyclist in Ireland with the Government's approval. They didn't do NCD either, that was for British customers only.

    The Year: 1988
    The Bike: 1980 Suzuki SB200 - cost £400
    The Co: N-U (****) Rider Policy.........ahhhh, remember them ?
    Price: £ 436

...well, I only had £800, and a DT80 cost £600 and the insurance for that would've been £180.

The SB was 2.5 times bigger, so that was that then ! :D

You don't want to acknowledge that as truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about at the Green Party, you want me on that road, you need me on that road. We use words like freedom, enjoyment, sport and community. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent instilling those values in our families and loved ones. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”
