Hi all. I wanted to ask if its possible to buy and download Tekken 5 and then transfer it to a flash stick and use it another PS3. Reason why I'm asking is because I don't have broadband so I was hoping to buy it on my friend's PS3 then transfer it onto a memory stick and use it on mine. Thanks.

Not possible. I tried this with a demo and it wouldn't work

While it's not possible I've heard that it is possible to download your purchases on up to 5 different PS3's. I downloaded some content before my PS3 up and Blu-ray'd on me and was able to re-download the content that I had previously downloaded.

That's true but it is completely different to using a flash stick.

Yes but it provides an alernative method to the OP for the same result, if the information in the OP is accurate that is.

Well, my idea was to download it on my friend's PS3 and then just transfer it to my flash stick and then finally transfer it from my flash stick to my PS3 rather than having to go through the hassle to take my PS3 over.

Then just take your HDD from your PS3 over. Download it onto that, then just bring it back home with you. You can swap out the PS3 HDD and pop in your one in under a minute. Maybe make sure both PS3's have the latest firmware, but I don't think it would be an issue.

Eh, don't do this. If you try it your HDD will be formatted when you put it into your mates ps3 and then formatted again when you put it back into yours. Best bet is to take your ps3 round to your mates. Bit of a hassle I know but the only way I think.

Cheers for the heads up. Didn't realise the format was mandatory. I thought it only activated when it detected an unformatted drive.

Definately dont bring over the HDD once it's formatted it synch'd to a particular PS3. The only way to get it to work on another PS3 would be to format it. I tried to do this what my HDD but luckly I also made a backup copy so I could keep my original HDD confug.
