    Also magna is Latin so wouldn't be recognized.

    Just because you've never heard of them doesn't make them not real words.

    Anyway, the scrabble wordlist on facebook is taken from the tournament dictionary, which has a lot of esoteric words so that the game doesn't end up with people having nothing but awkward letters at the end.

    There used to be a knock-off version of scrabble by a couple of Indian blokes which was very good, Scrabble copyright holders got arsey and threatened to sue so Facebook took it off and put the crap version on there now. Wordscrapper or something it was called.

    Some of the short 2 letter words are ridiculous tbh. Love facebook scrabble though. Just about makes being on facebook worthwhile.
