    Price range?

Any price although I am not looking for a game or media, i am looking for a laptop for business applications and fast internet usage and fast browsing.

The HP touchsmart Tx2 would be ideal but i have heard that it is slow.

You can browse the internet or do a spreadsheet on a fairly basic machine tbh, you certainly don't need an overpriced Macbook Pro.

Have a look at the Dell Vostro range, they are available with matt (anti-glare) screens, which is becoming harder to find these days. If it's a 'business' machine, you definitely don't want a glossy screen. The Vostro 1520 is fairly cheap and will do what you need. Im sure you'd spec a decent machine with dual-core, plenty of ram, etc for €500(+vat) or less. Beats paying €2k for a Macbook Pro.

The 13 inch MBP starts at €1149. The 15 inch at €1649.

Thanks..actually a good choice, I was worried about the screen as i intend to use it outdoors.

These laptops they make now with 4 gb memory would they outperform the old pc desktop ( 2006) dell dimension 5150 with its pentium 4 and average specs. ???

Thats all i need to know for now

Yes they would out perform that easily.

Although keep in mind that using business software is most certainly not taxing and that a pentium 4 desktop with a fresh install of windows would run office suites pretty much as fast as any computer.

It can only go so fast...

I actually have Microsoft Office on my v-old laptop. with a 1.6ghz pentium processor and 256mb's of ram with windows xp. When i recently did a clean install on the system the difference between open office on my 2.66quad core with 4g's of ram the difference was negligable...
