anyone?? this is doing my head in...i added the source before without any hassle, but it doesn't seem to be available now?? I've tried to add it manually via ssh along with other sources. the others show up, but ultrasn0w does not??

I've seen the same issue in other forums, no solution though...

can somwone confirm, if they can go into cydia and browse the Ultrasn0w source.

    thanks

    its working for me...

    repo666.ultrasn0w.com

finally got this working, well a workaround anyway.

http://repo666.ultrasn0w.com is not reachable from any PC or iphone connected to my fixed line BB (Smart). As soon as i switch wifi off and use 3G on the iphone, bang, repo added without a hitch...

just checked with a mate who is also on Smart BB, he can't access the repo through a browser either...must be a Smart BB thing..

that is very strange.....I would be asking smart BB why they are filtering this address, they may need reminding it is not illegal to unlock your iphone.

Smart don't appear to be blocking it. Can't be reached from the Smart network though.

Got it working via 3G, so can't be arsed taking it any further....

    Linkage

Excuse my ignorance. I believe the ultrasnow repo UNLOCKS the iphone allowing it to us any sim. So in it's current state the phone is unable to use any network or just o2? If it's all networks that are locked how can one use 3g to add the repo in cydia?

They work with an O2 SIM out of the box. I jailbroke it with an O2 SIM, which is my main SIM. I then used their 3G network to do the unlock.

I was unable to access the repo through Smart either. As soon as I used O2, it worked fine.

Can you get at it if you use OpenDNS?

(On the iphone - settings, wifi, click the blue arrow next to your wifi connection and change the DNS value to 208.67.222.222)

This phone is locked to a different carrier than o2 as it was bought outside of Ireland so at present I'm stuck :( I believe there is an offline unlock , anyone used it?
