    Hi all,

I have never played football before at any level but I am looking to start (if not too late at 26!)

I was wondering if anyone could tell me clubs around, or point me to a list of clubs in the Dublin 11/9 area. I am aware of the big ones such as Kickhams and Na Fianna, but I think I would like something a little more low key starting off.

If anyone could point me in the right direction i would greatly appreciate it!

    hey,

I started back this year (27) after 12 years out of the game. from my experience i would say try and find a team lower down the divisions were you might get some game time, training is fine but if your not getting the match time you will find it hard to progress. I joined a club in the junior 5 division which are probably to good for the level im currently at (also they have a large panel of players so its hard to get selected). Im looking for a team also arent as serious or need players. im in south dublin.

I would take a look at Raheny, Clontarf, not sure if Setanta have a football team and if willing to travel a short distance, St Brigids on the Navan Rd. Oh yeah its never too late to take it up, i started hurling this year at 28 hah! There's a sticky near the top of the forum about being too old or unfit to play? Good readin it is you should have a look:)

Well based on location, you have Na Fianna, St Vincents at the back of Marino (off Malahide Road, , Ballymun Kickhams. They would be your three nearest clubs. A lot of clubs
cater for junior players so dont be put off by how big a club is. Say start with your local club and then try VIncents or Ballymun after that.

I know Na Fianna have many adult teams and some of them are looking for players. Why not go down and ask to join their lowest Junior team.
