Some employers are placing restrictions on where you can purchase bikes as they do not want to be dealing with a large number of different retailers..... A little anti-competitive IMO:mad:

You are dead-on with the greedy chancers upping the prices in the bike shops..... even the suppliers are getting in on the act by forcing retaillers to sell at list prices to keep the margins high.... they are making a killing on the bike to work scheme..... A serious amount of price fixing going on between retaillers... particularly Stagg cycles in Lucan and Hollingsworth (bikez.ie) which saw the price of a Specialized Definite jump from €900 to €1275 over a weekend when I looked for a price-match..... Robbers!!
True.... Bike companys do have a trade price for retailers and a "RECOMMENDED" retail price for retailers to sell at..... this is a recommended price which includes approx 40-60% mark up from the trade price...
This gives the retailers some scope to create a little competition in the market.... but if the supplier is insisting that the RRP is adhered to..... its price fixing!!

Well, chippie, let it all out here, not in segments in other threads.:)

    Kona, you've discovered anti-Kona.

This elemental particle has your same basic properties but in mirror-image.

I fear a large explosion is about to consume this thread.

I should probably call CERN. Tell them not to bother with the partical accelerator any more:D
