One of the questions is "If you have not held a job, have been studying or are returning to work after a break, tell us what you have
been doing", I haven't held a job in a year, so would I be saying what I've been studying for or what?

Tell them you've been jobhunting in between writing a book.

Great suggestions, only problem is I'll be telling them I just done my Leaving Cert there last month, so doubt they'd believe either.:D Think I might just say that.

Whatever, so long as it's vaguely related to the truth, and you can answer some sensible questions about it:

Travel - so where did you go, what did you see?

Caring for an ill relative - what did you find hardest about it, is the situation in hand now?

Study - what were you doing? have you completed a qualification?

    Building a web-site - what's the site?

Working in a family business - what did you do there, what did you achieve?

Ended up just writing down I left my last job due to me wanting to concentrate on completing and achieving the best possible grades in Leaving Cert.:D

They won't ask you - I never used to ask any interview candidates when I worked there!

Also - put down that you're flexible - if you want to get the job..

Are XV recruiting? They usually hold open days when they're looking to take on staff

They aren't no, but well there's no harm in sending them an application form and a CV. Also I put down I could work in four different stores so hopefully an advantage.

The Finglas branch had a sign in the door recently. I think it was for part time staff, €9.09/hr. Not sure of the details, or if the sign is still there.
