Went to Malahide Castle Park yesterday morning to do some reps around the golf/pitch and putt course. Left my water bottle - just a plain old three euro refillable water bottle - down at my start/stop point and headed off on a gentle warm up lap. Got back six minutes later and it was gone. Checked around and a lady out walking her dog said she saw another runner pick it up and carry on running

Luckily I had an extra bottle with me in the car so I could get my run in but I just cant believe that anybody - let alone another runner - would stoop to such a petty low.

I couldnt imagine anyone who would risk taking a bottle from the ground not knowing where it came from. Very strange:confused:

What a strange thing to do, I was tempted to pick one up in the park the other day and have a swig but stealing the WHOLE bottle  besides god knows who owns it/what's in it

Perhaps they thought that someone had dropped the bottle accidently?
They could have just taken it assuming it was lost property.

I know. I have trouble drinking from my own bottles unless I give them a good wash and rinse with milton or at washing liquid at least.. I'd never use anybody elses bottle and especially not one I picked up in a park/by the road.

Malahide is lethal for thiefs and general stealing for anything , but robbing a water bottle!

Next time, leave a bottle behind and perhaps include something like a strong dose of a laxitive - it should be fairly obvious after a while who stole it..:D
