St Kilda?

    Hi

Myself and a couple of people from college are on a year long exchange to the University of Melbourne. We're looking for somewhere to live at the moment and are thinking of St Kilda. There's a tram which according to the metlink web site, gets to the Uni in 25 mins. Is this reasonable commute?

Also is there any point living near the beach? When does it get warm again in Melbourne!?

    Thanks

You are choosing the most expensive area in Melbourne to live in for your needs.

Personnally I hope for your sake your not an economics student.

St Kilda - I wouldn't. Look north and follow the tram lines from the uni outwards. There are some cool inner northern suburbs that would be better than St Kilda.

This official visitor site may help http://www.visitmelbourne.com/

St. Kilda is ok, rents many have softened a little, but anywhere in inner city is fine, all accessible by public transport, cheapest are western and northern suburbs, or way out in the eastern south eastern suburbs....

More comprehensive site for living is http://www.startvictoriapage.com
