Which golf club to join in the northwest?

    Hi, I am moving to Dromahair in north Leitrim soon. I would like to know what membership costs for the surrounding golf clubs? I think the closest ones are Rosses Point & Castledargan. Any recommendations? I have a limited budget, have prices come back in the recession?

    tubbercurry is bout 35 min from there and that cost 180 for ist year beg. 240 2nd year beg and 400 for the year its a nine hole course ballymote is nine hole aswell and if u like hill walking then thats the place to go

    There's also Strandhill, an excellent links course (http://www.strandhillgc.com) - they're quoting €400 for the rest of the year (€750 annually) and there doesn't seem to be a joining fee. You'll probably need to confirm that with Sandra Corcoran their General Manager.
