Does taking out a mortgage on 25K a year count? If so, then... lots.

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

Somebody move this thing before the 4chan-esque jokes begin.

Assuming you don't want a piss-taking contest, OP.

Oh, you don't have to apologise. :) Just trying to advise you that sensitive topics aren't treated with much respect by some on AH.

I wouldn't trust an official statistic for the suicide rates in Ireland too much. Although it's improving, for traditional reasons many coroners wouldn't record an official verdict of suicide and instead it goes down on record as death by misadventure. I think this is still the case so the statistics will vary in correctness from county to county.

Figures from the CSO have the 2008 figure at 460. But as leeroybrown said, I doubt this is the true number.

No. the Kildare coroner investigate this. Of something like 84-86 road deaths, only one was a suspected suicide.

There is little or no suicide in Ireland.

    Lots of

    "died tragically

    "tragic accidents"

"Gardai not looking for anyone else in connection with X's death"

    but very little suicide.
