Congrats to all involved. So it will be Carlow facing the loser of the Wexford-Antrim relegation playoff next weekend?

No, Carlow are now promoted to McCarthy Cup for 2010. We will play in Leinster next year after yesterdays win.

There is no play off anymore. So bottom team in McCarthy Cup...one of Clare, Wexford, Offaly or Antrim will drop down to Christy Ring!

Great game in Croker today, Down played really well, but Carlow just had enough to win through. Very exciting game, and sad to see it get no coverage at all. Don't even think RTE had a camera there!

But all that matters to us is that we won are are finally in Leinster championship where we should have been for past year or 2!

Good to see some counties progressing, surprised Donegal lost as they had made a Rackard final not too long ago. Tyrone could get an unusual double now if their footballers do the business, Dublin, Galway and Cork are the only teams on to do the real double:p

I knew Meath would win, they are a developing county and should have never been relegated in the first place.

I would have liked Down to win, just to screw the Leinster Council and the GAA HQ up a bit. I would have liked to see would they have put Down in the 'Leinster' championship like Galway and Antrim. But fair dues to Carlow, 2 in a row, hopefully they get an extended stay in the AI series, at the very least allow them and the likes of Westmeath compete in the Leinster Championship.
