Why no data bolt ons for PAYG customers?

The problem I am having with my data charges on the phone made me have a look at the PAYG extras from O2 and the only ones they have are useless text add-ons.

I mean what's the point of them with the Experience plans, who's going to use them?

A data bolt-on would be much more beneficial. Something like you can get with the clear sims. €6 per month for 250mb would do me just fine.

I would try and change to the clear plan but have been made redundant so what are the chances they would let me switch to the clear 50 plan?

    it's quite simple really.

o2 are not looking to benefit their customers. they aren't in business to be your pal.

they are there to keep the load on their network to a minimum - to preserve costs - yet extract the most amount of money from you the customer.

they are more likely to get say 6 people accidently checking emails and make 6 euro that way than, a PAYG customer paying 6 euro for 250 megs.

that's in my opinion of course.

Its funny how in the Uk O2 is a desirable network to be on. They get many benefits we can only dream of.

I am not even sure why so many people use o2 in this country.....complete rip off. Once Meteor has finished launching their 3G network by October they will get a shock..
