What happens if you mess up your jailbreak/unlock?

Call me a coward but i bought my 3gs on launchday and have been sitting around waiting for new jailbreak/unlock from Dev team, now that that is available im a little bit apprehensive... What are the effects of a bad jailbreak, ive looked around and granted there are very few horror stories about bricking the phone etc.…

What are the effects of a bad jailbreak, ive looked around and granted there are very few horror stories about bricking the phone etc.

Sayfor example if it goes tits over arse and the phone bricks is it atleast possible to revert it back to 02?

It's very difficult to "brick" the iPhone with software jailbreak/unlock.

You can get it stuck in unusable states, but it's never usually permanent. Restoring the phone in iTunes is usually good enough to get it back to factory state.
