Another trade-in value question...

Hi all, I realize these questions come up a lot but I would appreciate any advice, particularly from those in the trade. I'm considering trading in a Peugeot 207 GT for a demo model (not Peugeot) valued at €25k. My motor has about 42K KM on the clock and is a little over two years old at this stage. I've had a quick look on cbg and the cheapest 07 GT is going for around €16K but with much lower mileage. I haven't approached the dealer yet but could I expect to get about €12K for my own? By how much would my trade-in reduce if I left it to the new year? Thanks.

There is a 2007 207 GT with 57k km asking €13,995 on carzone. I think €12k to €12,500 trade-in allowance is a realistic expectation to get for it but depends how easy the garage think they can sell it on, this will determin their value of it. I would imagine there would not be huge demand for a 2007 1.6 Peug 207 especially when a 08 model falls under the newer tax system.

But the really important figure for you is the cost to change price and that can ultimately depend on the car you are looking to trade against.
