Anyone ever done something like this?

    http://www.sucatarun.com/

    What is the Sucata Run?
The Sucata Run is a bargain basement banger rally tour where teams of up to 4 people drive to Europe's most westerly point in 4 days, in bangers costing no more than £250. It takes place over the August bank holiday weekend (27th - 31st) and culminates at the breath taking Guincho beach on the Portuguese coast.

    What is the Route?
The tour runs from Rouen, the stunning capital of Normandy, to Cabo de Roca, Europe's most westerly in point in Portugal. On the way it passes through La Rochelle, the most attractive and unspoilt seaside town of France, San Sebastian, the Spanish summer capital, and the beautiful Salamanca, Spain's original party city.

•Day 1. Thurs 27th Aug: Rouen to La Rochelle.
•Day 2. Fri 28th Aug: La Rochelle to San Sebastian
•Day 3. Sat 29th Aug: San Sebastian to Salamanca
•Day 4. Sun 30th Aug: Salamanca to Cabo da Roca
•Day5. Mon 31st Aug: Time to relax on the beach - or nurse your hangover

What car would you use? Any suggestions? Or anyone want to make a bet on whether or not we will make it

Great idea. I found a little Fiat cinquecento sx going for €350 on adverts, timing belt recently done too :D. Here is a better pic I found but it's the turbo version and not that one from adverts. It might be a bit short if they expect you to sleep in it. Anyone know if there's an estate version? :D

Might buy the car in the Uk as we will be passing through there, loads of bargains on ebay etc over there

Just wondering what people would do to insure it then? Won't be paying VRT/ever bringing it back to Ireland

Just wondering what people think of these cars, does the seller look a bit dodge? For the money you can't go too wrong
