Good price. A mate of mine has the phone and its the best you could do for that price. Was gonna get it myself but went for a tacco lite instead!:D

I wonder if you can choose the colour? In the OP'S pics, it seems to be available in black/green and black/red.



On the littlewoods site though, its in the nicest, IMO black/blue

Phoned Littlewoods "customer service" - was told it was a "technical problem", not a Littlewoods matter, and to call Virign Mobile UK.

Anyone know where I can get the thing unlocked & how much it might cost?

There used to be a link on this site for unlocking phones but I can't find it. I have used http://www.trycktill.com/eng/ successfully, and its free

Also http://forums.afterdawn.com/forum_view.cfm/129 helped me with free codes to unlock previous phones

got mine today. Locked to virgin as we pretty much guessed and as its one of those new fangled BB5 handsets, only real option is to get Virgin to unlock it for £15.
Phone is hot tho! Got a 512mb card with it and a speaker set...not too shabby for €45!

Mine arrived was bought for the missus who in between has got herself a new contract phone!(arggh)

Anyone who wants one and didnt get it - i have it unlocked and will charge the same price I paid for it (€47) + unlock fee (€19) +registered post(€10ish) + and any paypal fees(€3ish) = €80 -> Cost neutral for me a resurrected bargain alert for you (sorry if not allowed mods - note there is no profitering off fellow boardsies with this)

I rang Virgin direct - they take Credit Cards over the phone, they order the codes and you call back a few days later and they give you the code over the phone.

I called Virgin direct myself and they said i needed a UK address as they send the codes by post, then they tried to convince me it wasn't a virgin mobile phone i had and that it was nothing to do with them. Pure w**kers to deal with.

give them any random address - they keep an electronic copy of what they send so ring up a few days later and they can access the letter with the codes and call them out over the phone.

got it unlocked by Virigin - cost £15 but got £15 back from Littlewoods - registered the phone on the web with virgin, using my irish address, put £15 credit on the phone, phoned virgin, they deducted the £15 & posted the unlock code & IT WORKS! :):)

my missus bought 1 of these a few weeks ago,she knew it was on the virgin network but must've thought it'd pretty easy to get unlocked.she's tried a few places in town but none of them have been able to do it.
what would be the best way to get this unlocked?
i'll be in the uk this weekend,if i brought the phone with me and went in to a vigin mobile shop over there would they be able to unlock the phone for me there and then?
