Bank account and JSA/JBA? Can they check your account?

    As the title says. When applying for benefit i said i had no bank account so is there any way they can check?

    I'm not sure if they can access the information, check the various Social Welfare Acts

    When you sign the form, you declare all the info given is correct.
    It's a bit odd for someone not to have a bank a/c in this day and age, so that may flag your claim in the future.

    i doubt they can check, but I'd imagine they'd be quite suspicious - i mean just about everyone has one. But why are you lying about it?
