525i Traction Control Issue

    Hi,
    I have an 02 525i, Irishcar with a tiptronic gearbox. The last two days the traction control has been kicking in mid-drive for no reason like a limiter?

    Example
    Driving at 50mph, when I put my foot to the floor it drops a gear or two and accelerates up to 80 then the traction control kicks in and stops it?

    Today i'm doing 40mph, i press the pedal to the floor it accelerates up to 60mph then the traction control kicked in for no reason?

    Anyone any ideas whats going on with it?
