    Hi,
So the screen on my ipod classic 80gb is fecked beyond usage. The outer screen is undamaged but the inner LCD screen seems to have a small crack in it and slowly the whole screen has leaked away so only the bottom corner is visible.
Does anybody have experience with this sort of problem and was it covered by warranty? While I didn't intentially damage the product, it does look like some pressure must have been applied at some stage, screen don't just crack by themselves.

Anybody know how much these things are to repair, or am I better off just using it as a portable hdd and forking out for a new one?

Ah, I figured it wouldn't be covered. Time to look at options me thinks. I'll check out a few online guides for replacing the screen and see how tricky it looks, €40 is definitly preferable to a few €100 ... though I might just use it as an excuse to get an ipod touch :P
