NCT Fail - tyres; Full re-test or visual inspection

    I have my NCT test is this afternoon. I Ordered 4 new tyres off my local dealer but they never arrived! 1 tyre is definitely right down to the marker and the other 3 are borderline.

    As the local guy is €10 per tyre cheaper than the other quotes I have gotten (for the same tyres) I obviously want to wait and get them from him. However if I have to pay for a retest its a bit of a false economy!

    Does anyone know if a retest for tyres is a full re-test or just a visual inspection (free of charge)?

    It should just be visual and they will issue a cert then. Has to be within 28 days though
