I see online that I can pre-order for $50 which is just over €35, this is for the home premium upgrade version. I already have vista home premium on one machine, so I can install it straight onto this. I have another machine running xp media centre, can I use the same disc to put windows 7 on this machine, in other words how many licenses are on the disc? Also will windows 7 home premium work with the xp machine? It is able to run the new system, just wondering about these questions as MS aren't giving alot of info, thanks.

That doesn't apply to Europe as Microsoft aren't doing an upgrade option as they say they can't compily with EU anti trust findings about them including IE.

Or just another way of MS screwing more money out of us

They are doing an upgrade version over here you just can't install it over an existing windows installation. You have to do a fresh install with your upgrade disk and then enter the product code from the windows you are upgrading from.

Microsoft are a monopoly so when they do things like this they get sued. For some reason this doesn't apply to companies that don't have a monopoly.
