Weigh In is in the morning from 8am-10am.......draw takes placce at 11am and the boxing will commence tomorrow night at 7.30pm.

You can find a list of entries here

Also the winners of these will go to the world champ/s in Milan.

    Predictions:

    48kg Barnes
51kg Tricky one.....Ahern or Geraghty would be joint favs......young Dalton is good also. Coughlan is coming down from 54kg aswell.
54kg Nevin - hard to look past.
57kg DO Joyce - With Framton gone i reckon its Davey Olivers to lose.
60kg Donovan - Bates & Hickey to run him close.....cant see moylette challenge just yet.
64kg Sutcliffe - should be a cracker if he meets Joyce again. Watch out for Kavanagh and Murray from Gorey.........both very talented juniors.
69kg Sheehan - McLoughlin has done very well internationally since he won the seniors. Should be a good one.
    75kg D.O'Neill - Eamon O'Kane, Stephen O'Reilly & Luke Keeler to push hard
    81kg Egan
91kg Con Sheehan - Jimmy Sweeney from Drimnagh isnt registered yet and will be one to watch, ran him very close in the seniors, carmichael from belfast is very strong also.
91+kg McMonagle - watch out for G.Smith from Crumlin.

Should be some craicing fights in there and some real competition.
The fighters entering will be pretty much the same as the seniors(bar a few exceptions such as Frampton) and that was a great tournament so we can expect the same here.

    Il go with............

    48kg Barnes
51kg Ahern... think hell beat Geraghty this time.
    54kg JJ Nevin.
    57kg DO Joyce.
60kg Hickey... on his day Id say hes the best of a good bunch there, dont really like watching Moylette all the same.
64kg Joyce... unless Sutcliffe lands one again haha good chance and really hope he does!! Kavanagh is good to but dont think he could out box Joyce were Sutcliffe has that power there.
69kg Sheehan. McLouglin doing great recently but id give it Sheehan.
75kg D.O'Neill.. should be a few great scraps in that weight.
    81kg Egan.
91kg Con Sheehan... John Sweeney from Dungloe if entered has a good chance aswell more than Jimmy Sweeney from Drimnagh id say Carmichael havent seen him in years have to see there.
91+kg McMonagle... if D Joyce enters il go with him. Wouldnt put G Smith in with a hope.

Really looking forward to this, think the 60kg will be great with Eric, Ray, Hickey and Bates, but think Eric will shade it after seeing the form he was in at the nationals.
What's the story with Sutcliffe lads, thought he had gone pro?

Sutchliffe is struggling with an arm injury. Kavanagh is not boxing it is looking like he is turning pro so JJJ should have it handy enough

Some great prospects for great fights with ALL
I would imagine, looking forward to Joyce vs. Sutcliffe.

Now, Joyce has the talent and skills to out box Philip; but will
that brutal loss have affected him, leading to him
lacking the confidence to execute the plan.

So, we have Philip knowing he has the power to KO
Joyce and Joyce also knowing this. It will
take real character for Joyce to pull
it off and either way, this will be a close battle.

Maybe the fact that Philip knows he has the power will
see him enter the ring even more focused and 'relaxed' and
    intent on doing the bisiness.

what do you think this is - Leinster senior hockey? Dublin schools rugby? three day eventing from Hicksted? the Claremorris Rally? horse racing from Ballinamuck? road bowling in West Cork? Tiddley winks in Templemore? no sir! this is boxing - therefore no TV coverage unless you are just about to win a medal at the Olympics and then RTE will squeeze in five minutes for you!

This sounds like hell of a great tournie.
Joyce beaten at feather? Amazing, and Sutcliffe
winning by RSC1. JJJ will be sweating now I'd say:)

O'Reilly at middle is doin' really well and I was so impressed
    with him at the Seniors.

    75Kg: Eamon O'Kane (Immaculata) lost to Luke Keeler (St Matthews) 2-2, c/b 5-5, 1-4

Guys, is this the middleweigth champion that was beaten. Need to be sure?
The man who beat O'Reilly to win the title.

Box's out off St.Mathews early 20s, been around awhile. Hes good dropped O'Kane twice in the Seniors. In a fight many thought deserved to win. not bad considering O'Kane got bronze in Europeans.

Philip Sutcliffe stole the show again last night........from the opening bell he had joyce on the back foot with a tight defense that joyce couldnt break..........throwout the fight sutcliffe landed some big blows to joyce's body and head........at times it looked like joyce wouldnt make it to the final bell but credit to joyce he kept trying but couldnt break the defense of "Suco"........he looks exceptionly strong.

Conor Ahern was very convincing when he beat dalton from belfast......again a very tight defense from ahearn couldnt be broken.

Ken Egan added another senior to his collection with a fairly convincing win over a very game darren cruise........cruise came out of the traps fast and tried to upset egan......but egan weathered an early storm to land some big body shots which took their toll on cruise........the fight was brought to a halt after the 2nd round as Cruise had taken some big shots in round 2.

Donovan v hickey was a very cagey afair.......the score was 3-3 for nearly all of the final round........both boxers seemed afraid of making an attack and getting countered........the winning blow from hickey came as he threw the last punch of the final round........donovan looked distraught.

Con Sheehan looked very good in beating carmichael from belfast.........sheehan is very young and looks like he has a very big future.

    Enjoyable nights boxing.

Massive surprise to see Philip being the 'boxer' here and outpointing Joyce.
Fantastic. Was it a case of Philip's smart aggression and Joyce maybe
being overly cautious and careful, after previously suffering such a brutal loss.

I think Philip now really has Joyce's number. It's all in the head.

I must say, I know Egan has been gettin' a bit of stick of late, but by god, credit to the guy. 10 years unbeaten in Ireland, what an achievement.

Ahern did well to come back after losing his Senior title, character shown here.

And, the big big plus is that we now have two real class
feathers. Joyce was the recent EU winnner, but yet we have a man
    who is better. Amazing!
