Has anyone noticed the graffiti spray painted in the bus shelters on walls etc etc all along the dunmore road in the last few days, went into town this morning and again saw it all over the walls and signs from the top of newtown right down to Nolan farrel and goffs

All it says it SEIRE KGB, beginning to wonder have the russian secret service declared a spray paint war on Waterford

    Schools are off right?
They need to do something to use up all that free time.

Could be a number of reasons for the kids to behave this way:

    a) Tesco Poleberry are selling cans of spray paint off cheap?

    b) The culprits can't deface Railway Sq anymore because we're on to them?

    c) Harvey's have introduced a cover charge?

    d) The smell off a piece of paper caused their brains(???) to think they should do this?

I noticed grafitti outside Newtown School then right along the Dunmore Road at the Y roundabout, Topaz petrol station and either side of Xtravision and World Wide Wines. I thought it was some sort of Spanish phrase myself, maybe our annual visitors from Iberia got bored pretty quickly.

All i know is that there was something going on in the tennis courts the other night, the guards were called to disperse a group out of there, the neighbours were out once the guards were called

I heard that a Romanian 'Big Issues' seller had gone 2 sets up against a local in the women's singles. The residents association went ballistic and the guards were called

Personally i think it's high time us residents of the dunmore road economic region in the east side of Waterford City embraced the recent graffiti craze. I mean, this is the biggest thing to hit the dunmore road since tesco reduced the store brand bread to 55c... we cant be left coasting idly by on the crawl to work trying to ignore the art, we owe it to ourselves not to hypothesize on the situation in boards.ie threads, but rather to fully shake off the bounds of philistinism by realizing the aesthetics of these stamps of freedom.

This SEIRE character and his/her friend (we're not sexist here.. OR presumptious ;)).. I thank them for vehemently tackling the problem of suburban banality. When I pass by the art, the only regret i have is that they opted for such a mono-coloured deep red. Passionate?... oh yes, Haemal? certainly, but i wouldnt have minded a black outline or a rose/pink buffer spray to complement the swift, surely stroked tags. I think they are called "tags" yeah that sounds about right... who's to blame? Woodies... Homebase... any of the greedy capitalist DIY stores that meant one can was all these artists could afford. Soon they'll have to turn to robbing spray cans, thievery! then we've got a problem.

is it 'KGB' it says?? damn, i have been getting scared of the return of the union of soviet socialist republics :S
I've heard of people going left when recessions kick in, I never predicted anything like this

As for a correlation between graffiti artists and 'disturbances on greens'... it seems just absurd... after all, these gentlemen's only colour is red remember...
