I'm living in a new housing estate on the east of limerick, which is attached to a building site(one of the entrances to the site is right down the end of our estate). I've been living here for 3 years, but over the last year or two, guys in hiaces have been bringing horses into the estate and putting them in the field longside the building site.
The estate is teaming with young kids and when the trucks head into the site, they sometimes leave the fence/gate open and the horses just start roaming the estate. Parents have had to run out and get their kids for fear of them being kicked. Theres around 5 or 6 of them and some are foals.
I moved to this estate to get away from this kind of thing and we're getting sick of it. The fence has all the "no trespassing" signs so i'm baffled as to how they are getting away with this. I know of many parents living here who feel the same way but are not sure who to go to. The estate is half within the city boundary and half county. Anyone have similar problems or any help, let me know.
    Thanks

Contact the Limerick City Council Environment Department on 061 407190 if you are within the city jurisdiction or Limerick County Council Veterinary Department on 1850 20 30 20 if you are in that jurisdiction.

Report it to Limerick Animal Welfare also. get on to both Limerick City and County Councils if you are not sure which one this part of the estate is in.

Am not sure if the County Council are as strict in relation to the horses in built up areas as the city is.
