Hey, latley I have noticed that when I play my ps3 in the evening that it's basically acting as a radiator... I've only noticed it since the start of summer... My room is now like a sauna and opening the window or door doesn't make a big difference....

Does any body else experience this???

Also it's the 80gig model if that makes a differernce....
    Thanks

it could be that you are not allowing sufficient space between your ps3 and a wall or object. the ps3 needs ventilation and if it cant get it then the fan begins to speed up, the air is not getting in to cool it and the ps3 tends to overheat

it could also be that your room is either very well insulated or not very well ventilated itself, and judging by the fact this is ireland and houses built here are tosh then it wont be well insulated or well ventilated.

but the main thing is to allow the vents on the ps3 sufficient space. i recently moved my ps3 and it made a huge difference. but yes, before i moved it it did heat up the room. and it was much cheaper than switching on the bolier to do it :D

I know this is obvious but I generally try and leave a window open.

ok thanks, there's already a big-enough space around but ill try move it around to get some more ventilation....
I mainly play my 360 and was used to it over heating and not the room:p

also, the vents tend to gather a lot of dust over time so make sure you clean them regularly (not everyday anal but like once a month or so ) as this stems the flow of air and can in extreme cases, can build up inside the machine.
