    So far

    Non Domestics - external approach - ramps

    Min width up from 1m to 1.5m
    Max overall rise of set of ramps ( new ) 2m
    1/12 slope allowable over only 2m - presently 4.5m
    1/15 slope allowable over 5m ( new)
    Interpolations of slopes/goings allowable (new) - there is a new "Diagram 2"

    Non Domestics - external approach - steps
    Rise 150-170 ( currently 150 max )

    Non Domestics - Car Parking
    Provide 5% spaces ( minimum 1 ) . Bay 4.8m x 3.6m

    Circulation within buildings

    Min 800 clear opening at doors ( currently 750 )
    IF DOOR OPENS 90 DEGREE MAX - YOU MEASURE DIM FROM DOOR HANDLE PROJECTION

    Wider door opening required if not approached head on - see Table 2

    1000 REQUIRED FOR EXT DOORS USED BY GEN. PUBLIC

    Internal lobbys changed - need to look carefully at Diagram 9
    1.8 x 1.8m passing bays need for long circulation routes
    NO projections into corridors ( columns , rads must be recessed )

    Provision of lifts

    To storeys containing more than 4 apartments - currently 8
    To storeys exceeding 200m2 - currently 280m2 in case of 2 storey buildings

    Disabled toilets

    Inward opening doors not to foul wheel chair turning circle within toilet or chair/wc transfer space
    Outward opening doors provided for - must not foul circulation routes
    Inward opening doors to be "lift offable" from outside

    Haven't looked at Domestic yet - don't claim to have spotted everything in non dom either .

    Just nocticed min. length of disabled toilets increased from 2m to 2.2m.
    It's hard enough to find 2m depth for toilets + lobby in some tight buildings, but I'm sure they have their reasons.

    I imagine this is based on the minimum width, ie projections no longer allowed into the minimum width zone. And would apply to a 3m wide corridor

    1.3.3.a refers

    Projections into the minimum width - not actual corridor width - are out

    so if the corridor witdh is oversized - you could have projections

    Good design should eliminate these projections anyhow in all cases for the sake of the poorly sighted . But the draft regs are not saying this .
