    Just noticed this today. Looks pretty ambitious. However, there are some alarming phrases, such as
    ...the College is addressing key concerns of the local residents and is committed to opening up the campus to the City – both as an amenity and as a thoroughfare.

    and
    with the central public concourse providing the new entrance to Pearse Street Railway Station and a significant ground floor retail shopping arcade

    Ummm, wat? Open the campus up to the city? Shopping arcade?

    It's like a bad April Fool's joke.

    Cantab is going to have a heart attack.

    Integrating the college with the city is nothing new - this was the rationale for removing the Westland Row gate when the Pearse Street one was opened, to help in the long-term general regeneration of Pearse Street. As I understand it, the commercial premises will be limited the ground-floor level, and the tenancy rights will revert to College after 20 years.
