Right, Myself and Nietaschean the sugar junkie are heading for a spin tomorrow, if anyone is intereted.

Plan: Meet at 8 a.m. sharp under the Luas Bridge in Dundrum, heading towards Stepaside, Johnny Foxes, Viewing Point, Sally Gap, then who knows. Looking at about 100km I guess.

Pace will be pretty hard, not waiting for anyone or expecting to be waited on, just get out, hammer it around and then back for coffee. Should be sub 4 hour spin to get home early.

If the numbers are small then I can provide coffee at mine (for a ridiculous fee). If not, we can stop by a shop and I can run in for coffee (for a ridiculous fee).

Just mentioning again, pace will be hard, stopping will be infrequent and the weather will be mixed.

Good spin that, j foxes -> viewing -> SG -> bohernabreena
...even if the trouncing dirk handed to me on the hills put me right back in my place ;)

Ha! Don't think so, you were mighty strong on the flat, gimme some of that sugar (wait, sounds weird!).

Twas good, 72km at 23.5km avg (max of 65.something, nowhere near you on the descents), although bikeroutetoaster claims 77km and 1048m of climbing. My computer kept going to "0.0 km/hr" every so often and took a while to get back to correct speed when it started reading again, so it may well have been 77km (Polar CS200, very problematic!).

I hope my new cassette arrives soon, I'm losing teeth faster than Shane MacGowan. My new lowest gear was 34-19 today, which wasn't too bad for the hills we were doing, but riding a higher gear up hills always makes my lower back really tight.

Anyway, twas good. Effort was good and we never really stopped except to wait for each other, and even that was rolling. I reckon the wind played a part in the average speed.
