    Sorry if this is the wrong place to post but...

    I was hoping someone might be able to help me with my laptop. It just crashed while i was surfing the net and now when I try and turn it on it gives me two option:

    1. Launch Startup Repair (recommended)
    2. Start Windows normailly

    When I choose option 1 this comes up:

    STOP: c000021a {Fatal System Error}
    The Session Manager Failed to create protected prefixes system process terminated unexpectantly with a status of 0xc000003a (0x00000000 0x00000000).
    The system has been shut down.

    When I choose option 2 it does nothing at all, screen just stays blank.

    Again sorry if this is in the wrong place or boards doesnt deal with laptop problems, its just that I cant bring it to get fixed for the next few days and need it urgently for some documents.

    If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks,
    WeeBushy

    Your best option is to get a Windows CD, put it into the CD drive and boot the laptop from the CD.

    It will allow you to do a repair installation of Windows and will fix your problem.

    Thanks very much, have it back working again. Someone far more knowledgeable than me helped out.

    Thanks again for the help :D
