I remember one of the problems being 'John buys a house for £55,000 and pays tax at 10%'.......

    Simpler times

I do but the weird thing is I'm not sure if it was my maths book or one for my younger siblings. They were definitely simpler times, though for some reason estimates used to confuse me.

Yeah. I remember one that had a professer looking dude on the cover. Also featuring were some numbers, incl. the number 6, as far as I remember.

I had Busy At Maths up to about 4th class and then the syllabus or something changed and we got a whole new set of maths books.

I used to like the different pictures on the books for each class. There is actually probably still some of them in our press.

Ah yeah that book would use the same names like "Ann and Barry" to add up the amount of apples or oranges they had.

Aye, I remember them, passed down from my brothers to me so they had all the answers penciled in already, hehehehe

I went to an Irish school and it was still Busy at maths, we learned maths in English still.
