O ' Connell versus Wales was immense.

    Irish Perspective:

Kearney (Lions v Boks 2nd test).

For a whole variety of reasons kearneys is the standout. It had as much of a galvanising effect as any other factor, at altitude the amount of confidence he inspired with his kicking, catching, line breaks etc and finished when given the chance.

Keith Earls vs Dragons at Musgrave Park, scored a hat trick of tries, although Shannon could beaten the Dragons that day tbh.

Mafi: Munster vs Sale at Edgeley park, he was a fiend all day, remember the tackle on Chabal?

Rocky Elsom - every game he played last season!

Seriously though, his performance in the HEC final was a definite standout for me

    From an irish perspective...

My number one is without a doubt BOD Vs England in the Six Nations. Immense, inspirational, physical, a lovely drop goal, and a try taken just after a taking a huge hit. As a player, he was brilliant. As a captain, he was exceptional.

I am so proud to say I've seen him play, and I hope I'll see him play for a little while longer yet! If ever a man deserved player of the year its him.

Paul Warick against the Ospreys in the Heineken Quarter Final was simply breathtaking. Also, I think John Hayes deserves a mention for his 20 minute performance against the Boks in the 3rd test. He played very well and at least he now has a lions test cap under his belt, something he deserved.

Good shout, he was absolutely epic that day. Completely killed Wasps kicking game, decisive in letting us smash them.

Yeah he was absolutely amazing. I think McGeehan, who was at the RDS with Wasps that day, was asking Kearney what his passport number was after the game.
