Hi. I want to move my monitoring from eircom phonewatch to another monitoring company. It is a wireless alarm. How do I go about this?

you have to cancel your eircom phonewatch. then you have to get an alarm company to set up a service contract on your alarm, you need this as all monitored alarms have to be serviced at lease once a year. they then will set up a monitoring contract with another monitoring company.
    hope this helps..

as far as I know, eircom phonewatchs wireless alarms are specially made for them, so that might meen that this might not be possible.

I would recommened Top Security for monitoring, btw: i dont work for them.

have to agree with Tim, I used to work for them in the monitoring station, and from what i could see from the competitors, it was by far the most superior setup.

    Hi again,

when you leave eircom phonewatch monitoring, you will have to get this form filled (by the alarm installer, alarm client and alarm monitoring company(s). the form is here: http://www.topsecurity.ie/pdf/intruder_alarm_policy.pdf .

best of luck on changing alarm monitoring and saving a few bob!,

    Tim.

btw: if you want the gards to come out, i think you will need a mantaninse contact with eircom phonewatch! so i dont know what ell happen there, since its a wirefree alarm espessially made for them.

The phonewatch wireless panels are not made for them, they are the only ones in Ireland using them. If you have the experience and the know how these panels can be reprogrammed and connected to a different monitoring station who specialize in getting the signals from theses panels, not all monitoring stations can do this..

It does not mater who installed the alarm Tim, the customer needs a maintenance contract by a qualified person who is certified and has a psa licence and knows how to service the alarm for it to be monitored by a monitoring station..

it does altor if eircom hold the installer code from you.

I use to install them so i know as much as phonewatch about them Tim. All there panels can be defaulted and reprogrammed..

Sorry if you feel that way Tim, all i am doing is pointing out the proper facts on what is posted.. Do you mind me asking you what is wrong with that Tim ?
