felt speed 30

hi guys.. well my job's just signed up for the bike to work scheme.. eurocycles were in today showing off their wares...

the one i liked was the felt speed 30... took it for a little spin, nice and quick.

the price tag's 900euro, but it comes with 20% off, and with the scheme, will come in at around 400euro... sounds good to me.

so, anyone on here own one... are they a good bike?

900 euros would be a bit steep, but with 20% its seems fairly reasonable.

I'm getting one of these myself. Mostly because the bike I wanted isn't available (LaPierre rcr 300).

The Felt is more expensive, but it has a better rear derailer for a start

Shimano BLACK 105 vs Shimano Sora.

I would say in general that the the Felt Speed 30 falls into the same cathegory as the higher end Trek F.X and Dawes Discovery series. i.e. Light Hybrid with narrow wheeels, but not so narrow that its a flat bar racer.

I plan to use mine for communting and touring.

As for felt in general, I don't know much about them but they do supply a pro-tour team (Garmin) which is usually a good sign.
