Wondering can anyone help.

My laptop (Dell Inspiron on XP) won't connect to the interwebs via my LAN. Machine is connecting to the netwok fine, I have an IP address and all that, but the browsers and assorted other programmes won't connect to the web. I get the 'website cannot be found' message on Firefox, Explorer, messenger etc.

I have repaired the LAN and all that sort of thing, but the browsers still won't connect. I have also swept for viruses and all seems clear.

Cyber pint for whoever cracks it!
