I wanted to sign up for the 20euro p/m 12 month vodafone mobile broadbad contract online but it kept insisting not available on the website. So I went to a nearby store and asked if the same deal was available there for the same price etc. Some very fast talking girl assured me it was and signed me up. I looked at the terms before signing to check all was in order, but apparently not thoroughly enough as it says minimum contract 18 months, and my unpaid bill since a week ago is 21 euro??
I realise I should have read more thoroughly but does this mean they got me on a more expensive deal? Anyone know anything about this? :( And if they did can I get out of it?
Or am I just reading the bill wrong and this is a first-month thing :D

As far as I'm aware the 12 month contract is only available online. Instore the contract period is 18 months. The shorter contract period seems to be the main incentive for getting it online. I would be giving 1907 a buzz and see what customer care have to say.

As regards the bill, you always pay a months rental in advance. You then pay for your usage until your assigned billday. For example if you sign up the first of the month and the seventh is your assigned billday. You then have to pay for the seven days of usage. This explains why your bill is 21 rather than 19.99. Each subsequent bill should then be 19.99 unless you exceed the cap.
