just browsing thru net & see that suikoden for PS1 for sale £400 on amazon
Anyone have any games they reckon are worth few quid?
I presume if there out of the original packaging theyre worth far less?
I know for PS1 i have a few final fantasys, resident evils, MGS (somewhere) & a great game called speedball.
Any websites that list valuable games?

That's way too much for Suikoden. It usually goes for 50-80 euros. Suikoden 2 is extremely rare and also highly sought after because it's probably the best RPG on the system (yes, way better than FFVII). The NTSC version goes for 150 dollars, the PAL version can go for 250 euros. Luckily I've a mint PAL version :)

There's a good few other very valuable games. Harmful Park is an excellenr 2D shooter with gorgeous high res 2D graphics that goes for a mint. Einhander, R-type Delta and G-Darius go for quite a bit as well.

Many RPG's go for a lot. The final fantasy games go for a fair old whack even though they are some of the most common games on the system. Valkyrie Profile can go for a decent sum since it's highly sought after and very rare. The european verison of star ocean 2 can also go for a large amount, there's probably around 5000 copies of it. Vandal hearts 2 is also rare I believe.

Persona 2 can go for a fair old whack again. There were very few copies of it and it only became sought after Persona 3 came out. Atlus rereleased it for the launch of Persona 3 and it sold out it's preorders in an hour. Actually anything with the Atlus or Enix name usually is a hardcore game wit hvery few copies printed and becomes sought after.

Thats just off the top of my head.

PAL version games don't tend to make a premium unless they're some of the few that weren't released outside of the PAL territory.
The NTSC games are where the big money is at, only first release "black label" ones however.

I've got a black label copy of final fantasy 7 and xenogears, paid pennies for both, now worth a tidy sum.

£400? I must be missing something. Seems to be going cheap on ebay.

This rare/valuable crap with games is such rubbish. Nearly every PS1 game on ebay has "rare" in its title , same with many PS2 games.

    Look at this croc :

Looking for £450 for 4 bloody games. Get a grip!!

I never know what titles I have that are worth anything, given I'm not going to part with any it's a moot point.
That said, I do have Castlevania SOTN, with art book and music disk, also Kurushi and Kula World, plus the ICO with the art cards as well, I think....
Not sure the MGS games in that ebay auction are all that rare, I was tripping over them until recently, I have them all somewhere too.

Most valuable thing I have is Keio Flying Squadron on the MegaCD, that goes for around 200 notes these days.

It's only the internet that's made games rare. You'll get MGS 3 Subsistence for €25 in Smyths second hand if they have it (and that's a rip off considering it sold over a million copies worldwide anyway).

Hey, i was actually just browsing through the net to see if i could find sellers of the original Resident Evil games and google brought me to Keith's post. I was just wondering what games you had and if you were interested in selling? I would have sent this privately but i literally only registered so i could ask!
    Cheers, Adam

Really?? I've had a copy sitting in a drawer for over a decade now :p

Pity my copies of Vagrant Story and Azure Dreams grew legs ages ago :(

Tombi! Is a game that's pretty rare. It sells for about €40-50. I had it as a child and I loved it. Can't find it now though :pac:

Also Intelligent Qube. That was a great game too. And guess what?. Can't find that either.

And don't even get me started on FFVII. . .
