Anybody used the waves native power pack.. Looks pretty good. Was gonna buy the liquidmix but am a bit unsure because of multiple firewire issues on one mac.. Can anyone recommend a good software/hardware pack that is similar.. Lookin for a good compressor,eq ect.. Use logic pro but looking out for different options..

If you have a pci-e slot spare or the likes check out UAD (universal audio) - they have the UAD2 with some fine plugins and emulations that run on independent hardware.

What DAW are you using? There's any number of plugins available now that are better sounding, and cheaper, than Waves. UAD has already been mentioned. Liquid Mix is cool... Massey stuff for PT, Sonnox is multi platform...

Is it just me but do the uad only work on laptops. Am using an imac and would be useless. Just read this info on youtube but it could be wrong..

Any system pretty much - i can vouch for pc (not a laptop) here - hopefully a Mac user will have a UAD in the same or similar system to verify it :)

Also the support and help from UAD is fairly good (albeit USA time frames!)

They have pci express slot cards and pcie slots covered i think.

A word of warning though - Apple recently shot itself in the foot in regards to laptops, they are removing the pci express slots on the smaller macbookpros - just in case you'd ever do that route ;)
