Should be a good one - haven't seen them since the Picnic a few years back.

Hopefully it won't be a repeat of this tragedy:

Veteran indie rockers Yo La Tengo announce Dublin show this November at Tripod.

The enduring New Jersey trio will arrive on the heels of the release of their incredible 12th studio album “Popular Songs” out on Matador Records this September 7th.

Since the band’s inception over 20 years ago, Yo La Tengo have achieved iconic status as the quintessential American indie band, influenced by myriad rock subgenres from the U.S. From the screaming feedback of noise rock to the sweet melodies of folk pop, the inveterate rockers have famously remained innovative in their styles throughout their long career.

They are incidentally reputed to be able to cover any song – a gift that is challenged annually when they donate their services as live juke box for New Jersey radio station WFMU’s marathon fund raiser.

**Tickets on sale this Thursday 9th July**

    POD presents

    YO LA TENGO

    Tripod – Harcourt St – Dublin 2.

um, anyone know if this is sold out? Doesn't seem to be showing up on the ticketmaster website, but surely (no offence to em), they didn't sell out in 45 minutes?? All of the promo just said tickets were on sale today, didn't mention a time...

It says they're unavailable but they actually are. Just bought one there myself. Click through the link and order - it'll work. :)

Don't know the stage times but there's no support so I'd get in early enough. Could be looking at an 8.00 start.

thought the second half of the gig was way better than the first but. I found it hard to get into the first hour or so, not sure about the three quiet songs before they rocked out again. glad i saw them, and they have a nice sound going on for a 3 piece band...

the last song of the first encore they played is one of my favourites even though it was downbeat...
