Cannes Film Festival accreditation

    Has anyone here been to the Cannes Film Festival and if so what sort of accreditation did you have, if any? I was thinking of applying for 2010 but would like to know whether the cinephiles accreditation is any use. As I am neither a film professional nor a journalist it is really the only accreditation I can go for. There are a few bits and bobs you need for this, a letter of motivation, film club membership (I'm hoping the IFI will suffice here?) and some notes on the film club itself.

    Accomodation would be a problem but I would sort something if it meant I could potter around Cannes for a few days and take in a few films.

    Any advice?

    Have been last 2 years in a row,am not an industry professional,but managed to get acceditation ,workin on how im getting in this year,i will let you know how if i get a way and if it might work for you.An unforgettable two weeks,unarguably the best time of my life
