    Hi there

Hope this is in the right place, I couldn't see a thread for Running!

So, I'm doing the Irish Runner 5mile on Saturday 18th. Its my first run, and I have been training and that, but... I need to get some proper runners, running shoes.

I know that there is a place in Dublin City, on Parnell Street, called Runways. But I'm just wondering, are they very expensive? The average price seemed to be 100euro. Is that right or could I get them cheaper anywhere else?

Also I know there are different types of running shoe, depending on what type of feet you have, but it all sounds a little strange and funny to me... how do you know what 'type' of feet you have?

Any help appreciated, as I was going to go in just my normal runners, but from all the disapproving looks, I think I better invest in a pair of these 'running shoes' as I'll be doing the 10 mile too!

    thanks

    dt.
