Twilight cricket

    This may be of interest to the cricket-playing members of the forum, and even those who might like to try it.

    Phoenix CC are running a "Twilight cricket" series in their grounds in the Phoenix Park. Twilight cricket is a fun, social game with the following features:

    * 10 People per team, 7 on-field
    * Mixed Teams – age and ability
    * 6.30p.m. start each evening
    * €50 per team per night
    * 6 over match, everyone except wicket-keeper bowls
    * 3 Batting pairs, 5 runs lost for each wicket lost
    * 7 runs lost for a One Handed Catch!
    * Soft ball used, no pads or gloves needed
    * BBQ and Bar Open each evening
    * Cash prize for Series Winning team

    Games on:

    15th July Wednesday
    20th July Monday
    29th July Wednesday
    5th August Wednesday
    10th August Monday
    19th August Wednesday
    26th August Wednesday
    2nd September Wednesday
    9th September Wednesday
    16th September Wednesday
    23rd September Wednesday

    Several teams are already entered, and if other clubs wish to enter, or even if a Boards.ie team was to enter, they'd be more than welcome.

    given its a social game with some taverner rules already applied id suggest you should probably add a no lbw rule in there :)
