retrieving Gmail drafts

I'm not sure if this is the best forum so apologies if it isn't. Does anyone know if there is any possible way of getting a Gmail draft email back after discarding it? A quick internet search shows the problem isn't new and it seems that it once the draft is discarded it is gone forever. But I'm reluctant to give up hope.…

A quick internet search shows the problem isn't new and it seems that it once the draft is discarded it is gone forever. But I'm reluctant to give up hope.

I promise never to keep important information in gmail drafts and never to try cleaning up my gmail account before I've had my morning coffee.
